Introductory overnight hike for scouts. The Wolgan Valley is closed for general traffic due to a rock fall so we will be hiking in from Newnes Plateaux. Mostly following the Old Coach Rd so easy terrain - about 7 kms to a beautiful campsite on a private property adjacent to the Wolgan River. A side trip on the way out to the Glowworm Tunnel. Single night out - shared with a scout group coming from Glen Davis (the other direction) - an ASM hike. The campsite has a flush toilet but no shower facility.

Excellent way to close out the school holidays and lauch into Term 2. Not hiked overnight before? Don't worry - we will help you with what gear to take and how to pack it. Preparations at 2nd Orange Hall on Wednesday evening (or by other arrangement). Gear list will be sent once you register.

Costs: expect about $25 for food and $25 fuel contribution. A bit extra for a Maccas stop in Lithgow on the way home.
