ACTIVITY DETAILS

Activity overview
Completing a Leadership or Personal Development Course is a key requirement for achieving the Peak Award in every section (except Joeys). But these courses aren’t just for youth members working towards their peak award; they’re valuable opportunities for anyone to grow their skills, confidence, and leadership.

Activity cost
Youth $45 - this covers accomodation, food, badge, certificate and resources

Leaders $35 - this covers food & accomodation

ENVIRONMENT & FACILITIES

Description of site and facilities
Facilities include a commercial kitchen, dining area, toilets, showers, spaces for camping, and a bunk house. Disabled access is available to the buildings that will be in use during the event.


SUPERVISION & ATTENDANCE

Who may attend (youth/adults)
Scouts & Venturers who are 14, 15 or 16.

OR 13 year olds who will turn 14 before the end of 2026. 

Venturers who are 17 may attend if they are unable to attend a course for their age group before their next birthday.

Participants are required to remain on site for the entirety of the event.


HEALTH, SAFETY & HYGIENE

Health expectations (e.g. illness exclusions)
Participants should not attend if they are unwell or showing symptoms of illness.

Participants may be sent home if they become unwell during the event.


BEHAVIOUR & PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS

Behaviour standards
This event will be using the patrol system and buddy system. Participants are required to stay with the group, with the exception of needing to use the amentiies, in this situation, they must go with a buddy and ensure that the patrol leader is aware of their whereabouts.

All participants are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully at all times, in accordance with the Scouts Code of Conduct, the Scout Promise and Law, and relevant federal and state laws.

Participants may be sent home in the case of non-compliance with the expected standards of behavior.


EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING

Participants must bring
Sleeping gear, you will be staying in the bunk house. Warm clothing suitable for outdoor activities, hat, mess kit, rain coat,water bottle, pen, toiletries, medication,  


Responsibility for personal items is the sole responsibility of the participant and/or their parent/guardian. Under no circumstances will Leaders be responsible for safe keeping, loss or damage to items.


ACCOMMODATION & LOGISTICS

Camping or accommodation details
Participant will be staying in the bunk house in seperate areas divided by gender.


WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY

Refund conditions
Refunds will be given up until the closing date, refunds will be for the fee paid, less the processing fee charged by the service provider

Non-refundable circumstances
Refunds will not be given after the closing date

Please advise the activity co-ordinator if you are unable to attend on the day, if you are aware of this before the event day, please withdraw from this event by using the withdraw feature.
